The Light Path
Gathered yellow leaves laid out for those who are lost. Metaphorical light in the darkness. There is always a path somewhere. Location: Newlands Forest, Cape Town
Plastic in all the cracks
Part of an ongoing personal project called Plastic Shoreline, focusing on the vast amounts of hard plastic pieces found along our coast. Location: Between Jongensfontein and Stillbay on the Southern South African coast
A selection of talismans made from found leaves and sticks, left in the forest, for the forest. Location: Newlands Forest in Cape Town
My strangled sea Tree
Part of the 'Plastic shorelines' project. There is no intervention or making on my part here, besides being a consumer in the world, this piece of hard coral washed around in the evening surf tangled in a plastic shopping bag. Mesmerizing in its hideous beauty when only considering the light, the colours and the shapes. Location: Southern coastline - South Africa
Stone and Water
Stacking stones in a river. Redirecting flow. Temporary. Location: Newlands Forest, Cape Town
